This generation of children is growing up immersed in technology, as ‘digital natives’, which presents fantastic opportunities for children to find out about their interests at a few taps of a screen.
Children also have ways of communicating with others in their play, through online gaming,
in ways that were not available just a few short years ago. Whilst this is clearly an incredible use of technology, and children are learning at a very fast rate about
communication, there are also issues which we, as teachers and parents, need to address.
