Walking Day 2019

The weather was glorious on Saturday making it a perfect backdrop for our village's annual walking Day. We were inundated with volunteers and the field's activities and stalls were set up in record time.  Reverend Jane opened the proceedings with a short prayer and then we were off on the traditional walk of witness.  It was lovely to see the number of families and children who took part in the walk, whether with school or with the many uniformed organisations which took part.  Next it was back to school for the crowning of the Rose Queen and for the first time in Grappenhall's history, there was a crowning of a village prince.  The day was a huge success and hopefully enjoyed by everyone who came along.
