Healthy Minds Week

This week we have been thinking about ways we can keep our minds healthy.  We think about exercise as a way of keeping our bodies fit and healthy but we do not always give as much attention to our minds.  All week we have had a range of exciting and fun activities designed to help us relax and give us strategies to help if we are feeling anxious or worried.  Dancing in the Dark was a great way to show how exercise can change our mood for the better, the art therapy sessions gave us time to think about the seasons and the power of nature.  In addition there were yoga and Relax Kids sessions for all of the children as well resilience workshops.  PHSE has been a key focus this week and we hope that the children are not only enjoying the activities but are learning tips and strategies to help them now and in the future as they grow up.
