To help the children prepare for Year Six, we will set weekly maths and English homework. Maths will be given out on Tuesday (due in the following Tuesday) and English will be sent out on Thursday (due in the following Thursday). Alongside this, we will also send out weekly spellings. Big Talk will also be sent out each Monday in preparation for Friday’s Big Write. Please do talk with your child about their ideas as it does help with their writing.

As well as completing homework, it is important that the children are reading as much as possible at home. Similarly, please encourage your child to practise their tables as often as possible. This can be through oral questions given by an adult, or though interactive games on the internet.

The Ancient Greeks projects will also be given to those children who have chosen to complete their project in this area.

In Year Five we have an open door policy, so please if you have any concerns / questions pop in and see us. You can arrange a meeting through your child’s planner.
