Safety Officers

Meet Harriet and Scarlet, our School Safety Officers!
In their role, our Safety Officers work alongside Warrington Road Safety Team to ensure our school and everyone in it are always safe and happy. This may include introducing things we can do in school to avoid accidents or being safe outside school when riding our bikes, they have a very varied job!
One of their first tasks was to look at the issue of parking outside school and how we can make sure children are safe when they are coming to school or leaving at the end of the day. They selected 5 new parking buddies which can now be seen outside school to encourage people to park elsewhere and make it safer for our children. Then they launched a competiton in Worship alongside our PCSO for some new banners at the front of school to encourage people to be safe when parking. Don’t they look great!

Monthly tasks
Every month, our safety officers complete a Safety task with a different focus each month. Below you can see some of the bulletins they have launched in Worships on staying safe in the car and Stranger Danger. One month their task was to read a story to our Reception children about a teddy who forgot to put his seatbelt on! The children loved it and answered all of the questions from Harriet and Scarlet!
